Recipe book take 2

Hello all,

Well better late than never, here is my second recipe book using the DCWV Mariposa paper as promised, Take a look.

Usually I tend to stick to one or two brands when I create as I find it easier to coordinate style and colour (not to mention its easier to blog about), but this time I set myself a challenge to just go with the flow and use up anything and it seems like everything in my stash.

I really did go a little over board on the items I used so rather that list them all through the post i will do a supply list at the bottom in case you are interested except for the flowers below which are a big mix.

Well here goes, The large bloom is again one of my handmade parchment flowers with a center I made using some of the paper line glossy accented to a clear gem. I know what your thinking an Aqua flower, who does that? but hey what is a wonderland without a little topsy turvyness?

The two small roses are from one of my favorite stores Scottie crafts and to colour these I have used some homemade glimmer mist made up of Perfect pearls and Juniper alcohol ink (and because I couldn't get the mix quite right I added in some Lumiere paint too).

The orange bud on the side is again from Scotties and the Large bloom and pale ones tucked away are Kaisercraft (Terracotta and sunset). And if you can spot them below I have also tucked away some bluey green Prima flowers under the parchment bloom...... Wow big breath, hopefully I didn't forget anything

Oh and the little "unique" chipboard piece tucked away is from Prima, this album is going to be for my mother in law and the word and colour of this piece could not match any better - some things are just meant to be!

Next is a close up of the butterfly which actually is part of the paper, I have just added some Glossy Accents on top to make it stand out and for an extra kick I have dropped in some Ranger fine dry Stickles while it was drying (I wish you could see this better, in real life its very glittery)

And of course a look at the inside, I still need to add the tags but impatient me wanted to post this asap so there not in this shot sorry

 And one last look.

Wow a bigger post then I thought, I hope you like it if so please leave me a comment and let me know!

Have a good one!

Mini Recipe folder

Hello again.

Today I would like to share a little recipe book I put together based on the shopping organizer tutorial by Laura at Following the paper trail.

I used the trusty old DCWV mariposa paper for this project and just the smallest piece of My minds eye paper tucked away as the mannequin base which I cut with the Tim Holtz sewing room die.

Here is the cover.

The large flower is another one of my handmade parchment flowers inked with Distress ink (tattered rose) with some pearl beads glued in the center.

The "tutu flowers", resin bird (which I have also inked) and pearl flourish are all from Prima and the lace is just from my local emporium.

Here is the inside

This is an expandable folder so you can really fit a lot of recipe cards in here I have 12 at the moment and there is still tons of room.

Well thats it, I hope you like it, im also making a similar one with another piece of this paper line so hopefully I will have this done in a few days to share with you.

Have a great weekend
